Stryker Excellence in Orthopaedic Nursing Practice Award
This one-time award is sponsored by Stryker Canada to recognize and reward an individual's commitment and involvement in the specialty of Orthopaedic nursing. The award consists of a framed certificate, a complimentary registration to the National Conference and a monetary award of $500. The award is presented at the National Conference and the recipient is invited to the President's luncheon at the Conference.
Eligibility :
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Orthopaedic nursing, currently practicing in an Orthopaedic setting.
Nomination
- The candidate is nominated by colleagues.
- At least 2 typed letters of recommendation must accompany the application form. These letters should address how the nurse's practice reflects excellence in the following areas: clinical decision making, technical expertise, communication, contribution to a positive work environment, development of the nursing profession, innovative techniques and/or research. Case scenarios or examples are beneficial to demonstrate the above attributes.
- The letters and application must be complete and received by March 1.
Process :
- Board reviews and selects recipient.
